We have a lot of exciting news as we roll into the
2012 season. First off is the rather significant change in the management
line-up.

We're happy to welcome onto the team Mr. Al Szenas
as our new operations manager. Al is a veteran manager coming to us from
Rolls Royce and bringing with him an excellent management style and
organization skills that have thus far proven to be a great fit for the
company- please stop in the main office to meet him.

We've recently brought on Mr. David Filliater as our
new service manager. David has decades of experience in marine service
management and we look forward to having him on board as we work towards
our goals of bringing to you the finest and most comprehensive service
department in the area.

We're happy to have back with us once again Mrs.
Kimberly Rounds as our retail manager in the Ship Store. Many of you may
recall Kim working for us over a decade ago and we're glad she came back
to us. There is no escaping (cue evil laughter...)
Social Commitee volunteers wanted!!!
We're working on the concept of developing more
community oriented planning within the marina and we'd really like your
input on putting together some ideas of organized activities we can plan to
provide more things for folks to participate in on the weekends. Please feel
free to email us or stop into the office if you're interested in taking
part.
The new laundry facility
Sometimes we have a problem with huge fanfare, or
lack thereof. In any event, last year we converted the building at 323 W.
Lakeshore (formerly the PC Canvas Shop) into a laundry facility open to all
dockage and storage customers of Brands' Marina. This facility has two new
large capacity commercial washers and dryers, change makers, cart and
folding table as well as a vending room with two pop machines and a snack
machine.
The front room now has two table and a wireless
hotspot. You're welcome to come relax there any time, day or night. We also
encourage our customers to use it as an informal gathering place, especially
when the weather is bad or to watch the sunsets. Bring your own refreshments
but please clean up after yourselves. The door utilizes a combination lock
with the same combination as the restrooms.
We are planning to convert the final available room
in this building into a television lounge this Spring so our customers will
have another location to relax and watch the news or movies.
We are planning to put together picture collages in
this facility so we would like to encourage you to bring in some past photos
to help construct these. Anyone interested and talented in laying out photo
collages is also welcome!
Summer Dockage
Space is still available for summer dockage. Please
contact our office to inquire about current availability.

Check with us early this year regarding early-bird
specials. Find out why our facility is one of the cleanest and safest on the
great lakes.
Rental Workshops
Our four rental shop bays have been fairly
booked for the past two years but we do have opening in the schedule for
this summer for at least two of them. Please call the office for pricing
and availability. Our shop bays are state-of-the-art 25’ x 70’ in-floor
radiant heat with private restrooms and plenty of power for all your
project needs. You are free to bring in your own contractors and work any
time 24/7.
